Title

This project looks at the sanitised, glorified, and secure way in which museums present war. A place filled with weaponry and objects used for and symbolising mass murder, are placed on podiums and stands behind glass protection. By exploring how museums have presented war I have been able to portray the surrealness around museums as you wouldn’t want to come across the artefacts they display in real life. The displayed weaponry that was once feared can now confidently be stood in front of to take pictures down barrels of guns and next to bombs that were used to kill and win wars. They display serious, horrific events that have happened in an interactive, watered down way that reduces the fear of the situations and creates a feeling of leisure and entertainment that don’t fully educate the horrors of war and what soldiers experienced.
